When was your wedding date and where was it held?
Our wedding was on the 9th December 2017 and both the ceremony and the reception were held at Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa, Victoria.

Who is the designer your gown?
I purchased my wedding gown from Amaline Vitale on High Street, Armadale.

Tell us about your wedding.
Heath and I had been together for five years before getting engaged. We went to High School together, but were only ever good friends while at school. It wasn’t until we were 21 that our relationship turned into something more.

When it came the time to select my gown, I definitely had a clear idea in my mind of what I wanted. I always knew that I wanted a simple silhouette in a lace or textured type fabric. The first day that we went shopping for my gown I tried on the one that I would eventually buy.

As soon as I tried it on I fell in love with it but, there’s always that voice in your head telling you to look at more options to make sure that you find the right one. Approximately one month later I was back at Amaline Vitale trying on the same dress (and that was the only dress I tried on that day). I knew it was the perfect dress for me and I wasn’t going to spend any more time trying on alternative options.

As I’m sure is the case for most couples, our wedding day was the best day of our lives. Thankfully, everything went really smoothly; we had sensational weather and all our (my) planning came together perfectly. A lot of people I know say that their wedding day was over in the blink of an eye; but, Heath and I didn’t feel that way at all. We were so relaxed and just blissfully happy on the day that we were able to truly enjoy it and take everything in.

I would say that the main reason that I decided to have my wedding dress cleaned and boxed was simply because I couldn’t stand the thought of pulling it out of my wardrobe one day only to find that it had discoloured or lost its vibrancy. I knew that this was really the only way that I could be sure that it would be protected. It was also really important that I had it cleaned as there was several red wine stains that a very ‘happy’ friend of mine had spilt on me whilst on the dance floor.
