Today’s post takes us to Australia, where bride Keelie got married last November in a truly unique wedding gown–one that she designed herself! Read more about her gorgeous wedding and dress below.
When and where did your wedding take place?
We were married on November 23, 2013 at Moama on Murray Resort in Moama, New South Wales.
How long was your engagement?
We were engaged for 2 1/2 years but really only starting planning 12 months before–and we were in serious planning mode during the last 3 months before the wedding!
Tell us more about this amazing dress you designed yourself!
I wanted something that would be very unique to me and that no other bride would be seen in, so I decided to sketch and design my dream wedding dress! I then had it made by a local seamstress who had years of experience. The inspiration for my gown came from Justin Alexander’s bridal collection.
What is your absolute favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favourite moment was saying our vows before our most treasured family members and friends. But having our two little girls there as well was especially wonderful!
Why did you decide to get your wedding gown cleaned and preserved?
I had my wedding dress cleaned right after the wedding so that I can store it away for our girls. I hope at least one of them will decide to wear my gown when she gets married!
