Sarah’s Wedding Gown Preservation in Gisborne, Australia
Australian bride Sarah (who is originally from the UK) had an even more special wedding day because her family traveled all the way from the UK to celebrate with her and her husband on one of the most special days in her life.
When was your wedding and where did it take place?
We were married on October 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s Anglican Church with the reception following at Pitruzello Estate Olive Grove & Winery, both in Sunbury in Victoria, Australia. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect!
What is your absolute favorite memory from your wedding day?
The best memory from my wedding day was getting to see my immediate family who traveled from overseas. My parents, brother, sister and her partner all came in from the UK for our wedding. I usually get to see my parents once a year so they can see their grandson, but I only get to see my extended family every 2-3 years, so it was so wonderful having everyone together at the same time! I’ve been in Australia now for 10 years and with my husband for 7 years.
Why did you want to get your wedding dress cleaned and preserved?
I want to keep it in perfect condition for a future daughter!
I was expecting the dress to be in normal plastic sleeve over it, but to my delight it was neatly boxed with a viewing window as well, which showcases the detail of the bodice of the dress. They exceeded my expectations!
